Our Wedding

Blakely and Jack first crossed paths at Boston College, where Jack was friends with Blakely's brother, Craig. Craig made the introduction - little did he know he was setting up a future wedding speech for himself. Years later, their paths converged again in Manhattan, when Blakely started working at the same company as Jack. What began with a first date quickly grew into a relationship that would carry them across cities, adventures, and years together. Blakely returned to Boston for her senior year, and Jack found himself back there too (he will say it was not for her, but the timing tells a different story). After graduation, Blakely moved to Dallas while Jack settled in Nashville. Eventually, Blakely joined him there - perfectly tucked between her family in Fairhope, Alabama, and his in Darien, Connecticut. Together, they have traveled to France, Spain, and beyond, but more than anything, they've loved sharing the day-to-day as best friends. Their favorite times together usually include great food, even better company, and the simple joy of being side-by-side. In June, Jack proposed on Martha's Vineyard, honoring his parents who had gotten engaged there decades earlier. They celebrated the occasion with lobsters on the beach and a bottle of Dom Perignon - the perfect toast to the rest of their lives together. Blakely and Jack cannot wait to begin this new chapter and are so excited to celebrate it with all of you.

Local Airports

The two most convenient airports to fly into are Mobile Regional Airport (MOB) and Pensacola International Airport (PNS). Mobile is the closest, about 35–40 minutes from Fairhope, while Pensacola is a larger airport with more flight options, roughly 1 hour away by car. Both airports offer on-site rental car services, which we highly recommend - having a car makes it much easier to get around Fairhope and the surrounding area.

Located on the bayfront in Point Clear, The Grand Hotel is a historic Southern-style resort overlooking Mobile Bay. The property features a private beach, a full-service luxury spa, and seven on-site restaurants and lounges. Guest rooms offer views of either the landscaped gardens or the bay. Transportation will be provided to and from wedding events, and the hotel is conveniently located near the ceremony site.

Located in the heart of downtown Fairhope, the Hampton Inn offers a centrally located stay within walking distance of local shops, restaurants, and Mobile Bay. The hotel features comfortable, modern accomodations. This hotel is ideal for guests who want to stay downtown and be close to all wedding weekend activities, with transportation provided.

Located just a short drive from downtown Fairhope, the Holiday Inn Express offers a comfortable and convenient stay for wedding guests. The hotel features modern accommodations, complimentary Wi-Fi, and on-site parking. Travel

Fairhope is the perfect town to slow down and take it all in. Start with a leisurely stroll through downtown, where tree-lined streets are filled with boutiques, galleries, and cafés. From there, walk down to the pier for a picturesque view of Mobile Bay. Make sure to catch one of Fairhope’s famous sunsets from the bluffs - it’s a moment you won’t forget. And no trip is complete without touring the historic Grand Hotel, where you can wander the beautiful grounds, sip a cocktail, and soak in a piece of Southern history.

Shopping & Strolling Fairhope

Fairhope is filled with charm, from its tree-lined streets to its mix of classic Southern boutiques and local art. Spend an afternoon wandering through the shops downtown - stop by The Fairhope Store for hometown gear, Page &amp; Palette for the most quaint independent bookstore, or CK Collection if you find yourself in need of a last-minute dress (the bride can confirm from experience!). Don’t miss 7South, a favorite of the bride.Fairhope is also known for its thriving art scene. Explore galleries and local treasures, from Lyons Share Gallery to the many antique shops that make for the perfect leisurely stroll.

Fairhope has no shortage of delicious spots to eat and drink, and we could not resist sharing some of our favorites.

Breakfast & Coffee

Start your morning at Warehouse Bakery &amp; Donuts, our most recommended stop for coffee and baked goods. If you’re craving something quick and easy, Kind Café downtown has great bagels and lattes to go. For a classic Southern breakfast, head to Julwin’s, a Fairhope institution. For those lingering in town on sunday, we highly recommend the legendary Sunday Brunch at The Grand Hotel - open to hotel guests and visitors alike. Afterward, take a stroll around the hotel’s beautiful grounds to recover from the night before.

Lunch 

If you’re a sandwich lover like the bride, you’ll be in heaven here - Two Sisters Bakery &amp; Deli (a nice walk from The Grand Hotel), Panini Pete’s, and Mary Ann’s Deli all serve up some of the best sandwiches in town. For something lighter, Master Joe’s has some of the freshest sushi (straight from the Gulf!) and is a local favorite. Or mix it up with Dragonfly Bar &amp; Grill for Asian-fusion tacos, or Sage for authentic Lebanese dishes.

Dinner

You can’t go wrong with Master Joe’s for sushi (the bride and groom have been known to go twice in a day…). For a more elevated coastal dinner, try Little Bird, or head to Pearl for oysters and cocktails. Thyme on Section is another top pick for a cozy yet upscale dinner.

Cocktails

For a classic experience, sip a martini at Bucky’s Lounge in The Grand Hotel while overlooking Mobile Bay. For something a little more lively, grab a drink at the Monkey Bar downtown.

Sweet Treats

Transportation

For guests staying at the hotels, trolley transportation will be provided to and from the wedding events. Hotel Pick-Up Times: 4:00 PM – Hampton Inn / Downtown Fairhope 4:15 PM – Holiday Inn 4:35 PM – Grand Hotel Trolley service will run from the church to the reception, and from the reception back to all three hotel locations.

Driving & Parking

If you prefer to drive, parking will be available at the church for the ceremony. There is no parking available at the Jones’ residence for the reception. We kindly ask all guests driving separately to park at: Publix Super Market at The Shoppes at Fairhope Village 22530 US-98, Suite 100 Fairhope, AL 36532 A shuttle will be running continuously from the Publix parking lot to the reception house.
